He jumped up, that was one way to wake someone up, he leaned his head against hers gently and a gentle hand rested on her stomach.

She nodded, "I know... I wonder how it's going to grow up in a world like this... it makes me sad but we should probably sent it to the next town... it might not be able to survive here." she sighed, "Plus, I know we're not welcome over there after that nurse."

Chris sighed, "We'll make it work, we wont need to give the baby up, after we do, we'll regret it deeply" He told her gently, "If we have to, before the baby is here we can drive to a new town, we can raid the bank if we have to" He said, determined to make things work.

He stood off the make shift bed, gently kissing her forehead, he wrote a note saying he would be back before dark, then he left, starting up the car and driving through town.

Chris went from building to building, taking whatever they needed, ending up at the bank, he sighed, getting out of the car and walking in, taking as much money as he could, he knew it was wrong, but they would need it incase they moved to another town.
